The Pine Creek approach
Why design-build works
A beautiful home is only one part of a successful build. The experience of creating it matters too. With design-build, your vision, budget and construction are considered together from the very beginning. This creates a more connected process, where decisions are made with greater clarity and every stage builds naturally on the one before it.
For you, it means having trusted professionals guiding you through every step. Because we understand the intention behind your home from the beginning, we can carry that vision consistently from concept through construction. Every detail is attended to along the way, so the experience feels personal, coordinated and cared for from start to finish.
From the first conversation
A clear path to your home
- 01
Discover
Before design begins, we take the time to truly understand you and how you envision living in your new space. Through one-on-one conversation, we explore your lifestyle, daily routines, priorities, and long-term goals, laying a clear foundation for a home that is uniquely yours.
- 02
Design
Our in-house design team brings your vision to life through a collaborative design process. From custom floor plans and detailed 3D renderings to carefully curated materials and finishes, every element is chosen to reflect your personal style, complement your property, and enhance the way you live.
- 03
Planning
Before construction begins, every aspect of your home is coordinated, reviewed, and refined. Architectural drawings, engineering, permits, detailed pricing, product selections, and specifications are brought together into a comprehensive plan, ensuring clarity and alignment before we break ground.
- 04
Build
Our construction team provides hands-on oversight throughout the build, coordinating trusted trades, craftsmanship, scheduling, communication, and budget. With meticulous attention to detail at every stage, we ensure your home is built to the standards established during design, giving you a seamless, well-managed experience.
- 05
Possession
Handing over the keys to your new home is a moment we look forward to as much as you do. On possession day, we personally walk through the completed home with you, introducing you to its features, finishes, and details while ensuring everything is just as it should be.
And while possession marks the completion of construction, it’s not the end of our relationship. We remain available to you as you settle in, offering continued support as you enjoy your home for years to come.

Where does Pine Creek Homes build?
We build within approximately a two-hour drive of Winnipeg, including Winnipeg and local cottage country such as the Whiteshell, Twin Beaches, Gimli, Lake Winnipeg Beaches, Lac du Bonnet, and Lake of the Woods.
Do we work with outside Designers and Architects?
Yes, we welcome the opportunity to collaborate with external Designers and Architects and are happy to work off of a completed floorplan.
How important is energy efficiency to Pine Creek Homes?
We prioritize sustainable solutions to ensure your home is built with energy efficiency and long-term performance in mind. Some of our standard upgrades include triple pane windows and rigid insulation on exterior foundation walls.
How do you ensure the building process is as enjoyable as possible?
You’ll have direct access to Owner & Client Concierge Josh Veenstra throughout your entire build journey. At every stage, you’ll also have the continued support of your Designer, Site Supervisor, and Project Manager, working collaboratively to maintain clear communication, ensure alignment, and manage expectations from the initial concept through to completion.
Does Pine Creek Homes only build timber frames?
No. We design and build conventional-framed cottages, custom homes, and boathouses as well. Each project is tailored to the site, budget, and vision, not a single construction style.

No. We handle everything, from permitting and approvals through construction and final handover. From the first meeting to the day you receive your keys, the process is managed for you.
