Stillwater Bay

The Story

Stillwater Bay explores the relationship between architecture and landscape, using the site’s natural grade to shape both the experience and orientation of the cottage. Opening toward the lake, the design maximizes sightlines, while the scale of the home creates the feeling of being immersed within the tree canopy. Natural materials and colours drawn from the surrounding landscape reinforce that connection, creating a place that feels equally suited to quiet mornings, long afternoons by the water and evenings spent together as the light shifts through the trees.
